Grinder Pump Service Technician

Morrow Water Technologies is seeking a Grinder Pump Service Technician.

Morrow Water Technologies is the distributor for E/One grinder pump packages for the state of Alabama and Florida panhandle. E/One is an industry leader with thousands of installations in our territory. We have a need for a Service & Repair Technician for our Gulf Coast branch in Mobile that services our southern region.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE:
The Service & Repair Technician (E-ONE) performs hands-on technical services primarily for Environment ONE grinder pumps and pump stations. This position requires a motivated professional with a high degree of technical aptitude to provide both in-shop and field service to support Residential and Municipal customers throughout Southern Alabama and the Florida Panhandle. Essential characteristics include excellent communication skills, customer service skills, teamwork, attention to detail, ability to work independently, flexibility to support after-hours services, and some travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintenance & repair services for sewage grinder pumps and pump stations.
  • New equipment installation, start-up commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare proper documentation for assigned work.
  • Maintain common tools for assigned work.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise with all aspects of E-ONE pumps and pumping stations.
  • Provide top notch technical assistance to customers.
  • Display a self-starter attitude, work effectively and efficiently, with minimal supervision.
  • Help with inventory, pulling orders, and unloading stock trucks.
  • Build and support positive relationships with customers, coworkers, and suppliers.
  • Maintain an organized, clean & resourceful work environment to include the shop, assigned work areas, and service vehicle.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety-related policies, rules, and guidelines.
  • Frequent day travel throughout Southern Alabama with minimal overnight travel as needed.
  • Hours: 7 am – 4 pm with 1-hour lunch and overtime as needed.
  • On-call rotation for after-hours service may be required.

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school education. Mechanical and/or electrical background required.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits with a multimeter.
  • Experience working with residential or municipal customers is a plus.
  • Effective verbal & written communication skills.
  • Reasonable experience & proficiency with mobile devices and computers.
  • Ability to work outdoors in seasonal conditions and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, 100 lbs. assisted.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and ability to drive without restriction.
  • Warehouse/Forklift training is appreciated, but not required.
