For General Dewatering Applications
The GritCat Models are a cost effective way to collect, dewater, transport and dump all kinds of sludges, slurries, and wet solids.
The GritCats are watertight dewatering boxes with reusable filter media. It is designed to be used with gritty, or sandy type waste streams that typically do not require the use of a coagulant or flocculent for dewatering.
Other types of waste made up of large particles can also be used in the GritCat, i.e. stringy and fibrous solids.

Self Dumping Hopper
- Heavy duty carbon steel construction (optional stainless steel)
- Designed to be handled by a standard fork truck
- Typical (2) 2” drain ports located at the bottom on each side at opposing ends
- Filter media covers the floor and 4 walls
- Filter support panels made of perforated plates (optional materials available for support panels)
- Filter media comes in a choice of plastic or stainless steel and is held in place by bolts and brackets
- A double wall filter element that splits the hopper into two compartments is an available option
- Dump Hopper sizes recommended: 3, 4, and 5 cubic yards
- Micron size filters from 2000 microns to 44 microns (10 mesh to 325 mesh)
Front Loader
- Heavy duty carbon steel construction (optional stainless steel)
- Designed to be handled by a standard garbage truck
- Typical (2) 2” drain ports on the back wall
- Filter media covers the floor and walls
- Filter support panels made of perforated plate (optional materials for support panels)
- Micron size filters from 2,000 microns to 74 microns (10 mesh to 200 mesh)
- Optional double wall filters available
- Locked hard top available
- Front Loader sizes available: 2, 3, and 4 cubic yards
Roll Off
- Heavy duty carbon steel construction (optional stainless steel) 1/4” floor and 3/16“ side walls with round bottom design, 6” x 2” x 1/4” bottom rails with steel wheels
- Gasketed, hinged water tight rear door
- Designed to be handled by a standard hook and cable type roll-off truck (hook lift type mechanisms optional)
- Typical (4) 3” drain ports located at the bottom on each side at opposing ends
- Filter media covers the floor, both side walls, and the front wall (optional door filter is available)
- Filter media comes in a choice of plastic or stainless steel and is held in place by bolts and brackets
- A double wall filter element that splits the container into two compartments is an available option (more than one double filter is also an option)
- Micron size filters from 3,360 microns to 170 microns (6 mesh to 80 mesh)
- Container sizes available: 15, 20, 25, 30, and 40 cubic yards
